Appeal: help make young skaters’ dream come true

Our friends at SkatePal have launched an appeal to raise funds for a new skatepark in Palestine, working in partnership with a local non-profit called SkateQilya.

SkatePal have discovered a huge interest in skateboarding by Palestinian youth – both girls and boys – who have found it a wonderful way to express their creativity, skills, athleticism and to burn off energy and frustration.

It is also being used as a way to help the young people to hone their community-building and leadership skills.

The goal is to raise £10,000 before September, so please help if you are ablek – the money will transform a dilapidated playground in Jayyous village into a brilliant new skatepark.
