Supporters of Palestinians’ human rights are urging a boycott of Hewlett Packard products, and FWPSC will be promoting the campaign in Faversham at our 10 December stall.
The IT giant – a well-known household name – has a much darker side than the laptops it makes.
HP supplies technology and services for Israeli apartheid and occupation, including:
- ID cards and a biometric ID system used at checkpoints to restrict Palestinian freedom of movement and enforce apartheid policies of different rights for different groups of people.
- IT infrastructure used by the Israeli Navy to enforce the siege on Gaza.
- Technology services for illegal Israeli settlements.
- Services and equipment to the Israeli Prison Service.
In the US HP contracts with the public and private prisons, the Department of Homeland Security, Immigration Customs and Enforcement, and more.
