Robertson and Brazier under the microscope

Brazier RobertsonWe’ve added two new pages to this site, aiming to bring together information and links on what our local MPs have said and done on Palestine.

Both Hugh Robertson (right), MP for Faversham and Mid Kent, and Julian Brazier (left), MP for Canterbury and Whitstable, have both taken some newsworthy positions. Mr Robertson has recently stepped down as a Foreign Office minister for the Middle East – something that often seems to free up MPs to say what they really think.

Meanwhile, Mr Brazier has recently taken up a position in the Ministry of Defence, which some might say has seen his often outspoken positions on Palestine and Israel curtailed. Most recently, he has praised the work of a local arms components company that supplies military parts to Israel, which drew an accusation that this was inconsistent with his previous concern for the plight of Palestinians.

You can find more detail on the positions taken by our MPs on the Hugh Robertson page and the Julian Brazier page. If you know of more details that we ought to include there, please do let us know.

You can also access the new pages via the dropdown list at the top of each page of the site – just hover over ‘Your Politicians’ and then choose the Brazier or the Robertson page.
